Cerex Inc. provides instrumentation for the monitoring of bacterial fermentations and cell culture. The instrumentation is designed to work in concert with bioreactor instrumentation for the monitoring and control of cell density. The MAX sensor is in use in numerous biochemical applications by the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries.
Cerex Inc. was founded in Gaithersburg, Maryland, in 1985 and relocated to Ijamsville, Maryland, prior to moving to Wellesley, Massachusetts, in 1996. Its MAX cell mass sensor instrumentation has been sold in the US, Europe and Japan since 1990 and is available throughout North America and Europe.
